A Wonder of Human skill and technology in SAMPHIRE HOE

SAMPHIRE HOE country park This unique country park is located on the base of Shakespeare cliff in the west of Dover, Kent, in the of the south of London.                                                                                                                             This piece of land is reclaimed from the sea just to dispose off 4.9 Million cubic meter chalk marl produced during the excavation of channel tunnel under English channel in between England and France. When the project of the tunnel was planned, disposal of chalk marl was the major issue after so many discussion and considering 60 different purposed sites this site was finally approved in 1980. To create an artificial lagoon for about 30 hectares, construction of retaining walls was started. In 1988 when the excavation of channel tunnel started the material was shifted to this site by train which was already existed here, and this project was completed in 1994 after completion of other development work

One of the most wonderful places to visit in London UK.       It is a place where you can see the vast range of specimens from various segments of natural history. It is located on Cromwell Road, South Kensington, London. SW7 5BD. The UK. It was established in 1881, almost 137 years ago as part of Britsh Museum. In 1973 it was separated. It has about 80 million items of earth and life specimens.  All major branches of life sciences like Botany, zoology, entomology, mineralogy and palaeontology are presented here very nicely.                      Giant Young blue whale skeleton hanging with the ceiling in Hintze hall is a most amazing item.                          skeletons of huge mammals and Dinosaurs are the most popular among the visitors. Model of roaring dinosaurs is a big attraction for young visitors. It is one of the world's biggest museums. Its covered area is about 92,000 sq meters. An Irish born British physician and naturalist Sir Hans Sloan laid the foundation of the museum. He also donates his notable collection to the museum. Later on, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus Charles Newton has played the part to expand the collection of the museum in 1857. Initially, it was started in Montague House London and on July 15th, 1759 it was opened for public. It was shifted to the new Smirk Building which took 30 years to build. British Museum London It is located in the Bloomsbury area of central London. If you are traveling by train you will travel by underground train. Nearest stations are Holborn and Tottenham. From Euston, it's 15 min walk and from Charing Cross, it's on 20 min walking distance.
