This unique country park is located on the base of Shakespeare cliff in the west of Dover, Kent, in the of the south of London.                                                                                                                            
This piece of land is reclaimed from the sea just to dispose off 4.9 Million cubic meter chalk marl produced during the excavation of channel tunnel under English channel in between England and France. When the project of the tunnel was planned, disposal of chalk marl was the major issue after so many discussion and considering 60 different purposed sites this site was finally approved in 1980. To create an artificial lagoon for about 30 hectares, construction of retaining walls was started. In 1988 when the excavation of channel tunnel started the material was shifted to this site by train which was already existed here, and this project was completed in 1994 after completion of other development work Queen Elizabeth ll and President Franco Mitterrand opened it for the public in 1997. The real wonder is that human created place developed in just 10 year received an National standard award for the best park and greenland in all over England and Wales In July 2017
.

When you travel from Dover to London on A 20 you will see a signboard of samphire just between Dover and Folkestone.


There is a tunnel when you cross it you will find a wonderful country park full of natural beauty.It is an outstanding natural reservoir.



Sapphire Hoe is one of few places where you can see the beauty of the white cliff on the beach of the blue sea.There is old coast guard post which is good attraction for the visitors,in this you can see a binocular is still installed.




       
                     
 It is the place where you can enjoy everything like outdoor, quiet walk, wildlife, beautiful birds, charming wildflowers, colorful butterflies and stunning scenery all around. You can also enjoy angling, tickets are available at the cafe.


                                  

This cafe is the best option for refreshment in the park area.Tea, coffee,cupcakes,chicken piece,biscuits and so many other things are available.
Toilets and cloakroom are available.For handicap people wheelchair parking and toilet available.Baby changeover  room is also there.Parking on pay and display.


There is site office volunteers and staff are very cooperative.An Educational shelter is there which has two big halls one is used as classroom for student visitors and second is for the Exhibition held time to time.
This area has 200 species of plant, 123 species of birds and 30 different kinds of butterflies.

It is one of the world's biggest museums. Its covered area is about 92,000 sq meters. An Irish born British physician and naturalist Sir Hans Sloan laid the foundation of the museum. He also donates his notable collection to the museum. Later on, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus Charles Newton has played the part to expand the collection of the museum in 1857.
