Wonderful tour of Natural history museum London UK
One of the most wonderful places to visit in London UK.
It is a place where you can see the vast range of specimens from various segments of natural history.
It is located on Cromwell Road, South Kensington, London. SW7 5BD. The UK.
It was established in 1881, almost 137 years ago as part of Britsh Museum. In 1973 it was separated.
It has about 80 million items of earth and life specimens.
All major branches of life sciences like Botany, zoology, entomology, mineralogy and palaeontology are presented here very nicely.
skeletons of huge mammals and Dinosaurs are the most popular among the visitors. Model of roaring dinosaurs is a big attraction for young visitors.
For the convenience of visitors, the museum has been divided into four different zones.
RED ZONE
Entrance to the red zone
It is also known as the Geological Museum. It was established by the British geological survey in 1986. It has an active volcano model and earth quack machine which is fixed in a room where you can feel real earth quack of different scale by changing the setting. Here you can also learn the history of major earth quack came in the past. Treasures of the earth are also displayed very nicely. You can see specimens of Gemstones, minerals and rocks.
GREEN ZONE
This zone has collections of birds, creepy crawlies, fossil Martin reptiles and many other fossils from Britain.
BLUE ZONE
It is about the history of dinosaurs, Fish, Amphibians and reptiles, Human biology, images of nature, Marin invertebrates and mammals.
ORANGE ZONE
It has two portions. Wildlife garden, this garden was opened in 1995, more than 3,130 species have been identified here.
Darwen centre, here you can find, Beetles, Butterflies, huge tarantulas, Snacks, shark and so many other things.
These are the statues of old Britan historian.
A special event is a science fiction film shown in Hantize hall though out Feb and March every year

A cloakroom is available in Hintze hall where you can leave your coats and luggage for a nominal charge.
It's open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm seven days a week and closed only on 24th,25th, 26th of December.
